The Little Aussie Cafe, Sarnies

A few times, when I passed by this cafe over the years, I wonder what type of food they were serving. Opportunity came for me, I went for the food tasting session.  Aussie owner, Ben Lee started this little cafe in 2010, which is located at Telok Ayer, only a short walk away from the Telok Ayer MRT.

The cafe also served specialty coffee roasted in-house. Grass fed beef, chicken free from hormones and antibiotics, bacon cured in-house, which you can eat in peace and guarantee a hearty wholesome meal as always.

We sat outside the cafe on a cool night. Quite cosy with those garden wooden chair and table. Great for a nice small gathering with good friends. As it it located within the Central Business District area, it will be convenient for office workers to get loose and have a nice dinner after a long day working in the office. Indulged in good food to get your good mood in place. Thanks to The Entertainer for the invite. Do check out Sarnies in your The Entertainer apps for promotion.

Grilled Haloumi Sliders with Onion Jam & Roasted Cherry Tomatoes (Appetiser) $13

This dish is interesting especially when you sink your teeth into it. You were able to taste different flavors within the bun. Different ingredients were what make the flavour burst out into your mouth. In fact, every component were made from scratch and each bun lovingly kneaded and baked fresh in-house daily.

 Spicy Buffalo Wings (Appetiser) $14

Buffalo Wings have a hot hot reputation. If you like it spicy, this is definitely must try dish when you are at Sarnies. Get your water ready in case it gets too spicy.

Pulled Pork Tacos (available as per piece of as a trio) (Appetizer) $8 or $22

With pulled pork, cabbage, onion and many other ingredients chopped, this seems like a mixed between East and West dish. Generous fillings, just one of these can be quite filling for one person especially this is only an appetizer dish.

Southern Indian Style Hand-Cut Pappardelle with Prawns, Coconut Milk & Curry Leaves (Main) $19.50

Definitely my favourite. Should go for it if you are at Sarnies. Good for those with an adventurous tast buds. The hand made pasta, cooked al dente to order and coated in a light creamy curry sauce. Yummy !

Texas Style Burger with Overnight Smoked Brisket, Homemade Barbeque Sauce, Coleslaw & Hand-Cut Wedges (Main) $26.50

Incredibly juicy tall burger, tender Brisket and definitely not possible to have a full bite of the burger with one mouthful.

Churros with Chocolate & Salted Caramel Dip (Dessert) $10

Finally, a deserving dessert with dipping sauce to end our feast for the night.

Nabba Singapore Grand Prix 2016

It was a record breaking competition for Nabba Singapore. More than 110 athletes competed resulted in a late finish to the competition. As an official photographer, I need to stay until the end of the competition. Still it was a good and successful show.

The increased number of athletes from various part of the world does show that Nabba Singapore competition is no longer solely a regional competition. It is a good start for a world competition. I should say they do value Nabba Singapore organised competition. Thanks to Nabba Singapore for organizing such a good competition.

Here are some of the photos taken by me during the night. Infact, I have shot more than 3000 photos, of which 1000 photos have been selected and make available to atheletes to purchase. Do check with the Nabba Singapore organiser

Watch out for the coming Nabba Singapore competition
